Real Hispanic Lawyers – Attorneys Adriana Gonzalez & Julissa Nethersole
A New Approach to Helping the South Florida Hispanic Community Approach Legal and Social Issues
The legal process can be complex for everyone. When you’re a member of the Hispanic community, all of the difficulties can be much more overwhelming. Maybe you speak only limited English. Maybe your immigration status is in question. Our lawyers know as well as anyone that the political climate right now is frightening for many of you–it can be for us too.
Getting legal help might feel like you’re risking your entire future. Your family. Your financial security. Not with our law firm.
At Gonzalez & Cartwright, P.A., our lawyers want to offer the Hispanic community of South Florida a new option. We are a Hispanic-owned law firm committed to helping Hispanics in our community fight for their rights to full and fair compensation following an accident that resulted in a personal injury.
What does that mean? It means we are a law firm composed of Spanish-speaking, Hispanic-immigrant attorneys who are here to help after you’ve suffered an injury. We want our firm to be a safe space. We won’t question your documentation. It doesn’t matter if you speak any English at all–your lawyer will speak with you in your own language.
No issue is too small and none too complex. You’ve probably felt taken advantage of in the past. At Gonzalez & Cartwright, P.A., our primary goal is to help members of our community get the fair treatment they deserve from the legal system. Call us anytime to learn more.
Your Lawyer, Your Language
At Gonzalez & Cartwright, P.A., we want you to feel safe. We also want you to understand your legal rights. After all, you can’t go into a battle without understanding what’s at stake. We are your lawyers and our job is to protect your best interests. You can always expect that we will communicate in your preferred language.
You’re more than just a file number at our law firm. That means you can expect:
- When you call your lawyer, you can speak in Spanish if you prefer
- The forms and documents you’ll be asked to sign will be presented in Spanish
- We will explain your options in Spanish so that you actually understand what to expect
- We can help even if you have no documentation whatsoever
We know firsthand how difficult it can be to speak limited English–or no English at all–here in South Florida. Adriana Gonzalez immigrated from Colombia at age nine. Julissa immigrated from the Dominican Republic at age five. Our lawyers learned to speak English as children while their parents spoke only Spanish.
Because of this, young Adriana was the person in her family helping her parents to read and interpret important documents. She learned at a young age to help people navigate all kinds of challenging transactions, from buying a car to purchasing a first home. Julissa worked her way through school in a poor community in the Bronx, New York, before finally making it to law school.
The South Florida Hispanic community is our home. We’re here to help you through your everyday struggles, using the full weight of the legal skills we’ve learned along the way.
A Community-Focused Law Firm for the Hispanic Community of South Florida
Gonzalez & Cartwright, P.A. is based in Lake Worth, Florida. We aren’t white-gloved attorneys sitting in an office tower. Our doors are open to the community. In fact, you’ll probably see us participating in community events well before you ever need our legal help. You might see us:
- Participating in hurricane relief operations
- Attending immigration rallies
- Leading the Hispanic Bar Association
- Cheering for our favorite soccer teams
- Participating in food drives
- Helping families through the COVID-19 pandemic
- Partnering with legal aid to help parents and “dreamers” throughout Palm Beach County
- Helping parents at risk of deportation establish power of attorney to protect their children
Our participation in both the legal community and the Hispanic community has given us first-hand insight into the problems you continue to face. You’re asked for your papers and you don’t have any. Your injury settlement offer has been rescinded after an accident because you don’t have a Social Security number.
We fight back against these insurance tactics. We’ve been in your shoes. We understand your immigrant story. Our parents cleaned houses and worked in fast food restaurants for a living–we didn’t have a financial safety net as children either.
When you choose our attorneys, expect an attorney who knows how much is at stake for you. We know what it’s like to wonder where our next meal will come from. We’ve felt it ourselves and are now here to do everything we can to help secure your future.
Let Our Attorneys Put Your Fears to Rest
Getting into legal trouble is scary when you feel that your immigration status is on shaky ground. Having someone with legal experience on your side can make all the difference in reaching a good outcome.
We can help when you’re worried about:
- How you pay your bills after you’re hurt in an accident
- What to do if the police asked for your driver’s license after an accident, but you don’t have one
- How to get medical treatment when you don’t have health insurance
- What to do when the insurance company ignores, delays or denies your claim
Attorneys Adriana Gonzalez and Julissa Nethersole know the law. We know when police and other attorneys are abusing their power. We also know how to use the law to fight back against injustice.
We Fight to Get Fair Compensation for You When it Counts
When you’re hurt and don’t know where to turn for help, our lawyers are here for you. We have the same background as you. Our lawyers understand that when you’re hurt, you cannot work–and you might never go back to work.
Medical care is expensive. Accident injuries can be serious, whether you’re hurt in a car accident or bicycle accident–and dealing with the insurance companies can be an uphill battle.
We know how it is–you pay your insurance premiums and then can’t get paid when you need money the most. Our lawyers work hard to make sure you walk away with money in your pocket to protect your future. For example, if you’re hurt in an accident, you might get money for:
- Medical expenses
- Lost wage reimbursement
- Property damage
- Future medical care
- And more
At Gonzalez & Cartwright, P.A., you can expect us to be straight with you. You might be afraid that the lawyers and doctors will walk away with all of the money you need for your future. That’s not the case at our firm. When you choose us, expect your lawyer to:
- Fight by your side to get a fair settlement award
- Help you explain your side of the story after an accident
- Fight to protect your rights when police officers try to turn a simple car accident into a criminal matter
- Negotiate with your doctors to make sure your medical expenses are fair
Our lawyers take the time to speak with you and make sure you understand what to realistically expect from your case. We don’t tell you what you want to hear–we actually help you resolve your case.
